• One PIR for either side of the bed
• To be fitted 40cm off of the floor, 10cm out from the bed, at the head of the bed
• Connects to the facility nurse call system at the over bed call point
• Often a double adapter is used in conjunction to allow the resident’s pendant cord to be connected as well
• Projects an invisible beam along side both sides of the bed, which tapers down to meet the floor at the end of the bed, allowing care staff to walk around the bed.  If the resident swings a leg out of the bed the invisible beam is broken and an alarm is generated through the facilities nurse call system
• Comes with a bracket and fits to the wall at the head of the bed 40cm off the floor
• Comes complete with a power pack and is turned on and off at the in-line switch located close to the bed side call point
